We had sent out two optimistic updates in a row and this makes it three…
Julie is stable, eating and coming down off of her anesthetic/pain meds. She was promoted from the oscillator to the normal breathing machine, so she is doing much better. Her weight is up, but she continues to lose fluid. Her drainage tube from surgery was still in yesterday. Her feedings are increasing by 2 cc every 12 hours. She was at 9 cc every 3 hours as of Monday. She was fairly active for Sarah and I holding my finger and pushing against Sarah’s hands. She couldn’t keep her eyes open due to the meds.
Sarah and I are heading to the hospital (oops we’re late) for Sarah’s 1st appointment with her OB since delivery. We will stop by Julie and send out a report for today (day 16).
Thanks for your continued prayers,
Andy and Sarah Horn
We hadn’t had that many good updates in a row since we began five weeks before.
We could actually plan our day (appointments and then go visit Julie) rather than react to the latest crisis.
Sarah felt better physically and emotionally. We started thinking that Julie could come home before the end of the month or early in April.
