Statement of Faith

The Careful Bible Student believes the Bible is the word of God. God chose each word, phrase and statement with precision. We treat translations, dictionaries and commentaries as tools to learn and understand the message God teaches His people.

The Bible teaches that Adam’s sin was passed to each of his descendants male and female. That inherited sin causes each of us to fall for temptation and commit our own sins throughout our lives.

God sent Jesus into the world via a sinless conception and birth to save humanity from Adam’s sin and our individual sins. His death on the cross paid the penalty for all our sins. Faith in the message of His death, burial and resurrection gives Christians access to the power of salvation. God sends the Holy Spirit into our hearts to teach us how to live the teachings of Jesus and do the will of the Father. His grace transforms our hearts into the image of Christ.

Non-believers will suffer the judgment of Christ when He returns. Some will live on earth for 1,000 years when Jesus rules the earth. All non-believers will face His final judgment and spend eternity in torment because they have rejected His salvation and desired evil.

Christians look forward to the coming of Jesus in the future. He will transform our bodies into ones which no longer carry the inherited sin of Adam so that we can walk with Him in righteousness for all eternity. He will remake all creation to facilitate our new life with Him.
