What makes this book different?

The approach starts with the simplest, clearest passages of the Bible to build a framework then adds every relevant passage in the Bible. The author quotes over 700 verses and references over 1,400 verses from nearly every book in the Bible. He fortifies each assertion with multiple occurrences based on the biblical standard of truth – two or three witnesses establish every fact.

Other authors begin with a single obscure verse or single use phrase and then force-fit their latest personal opinions into the timeless biblical prophecies all-the-while ignoring clear passages and obscuring obvious contradictions. They pronounce the Bible as confused or encoded while claiming exclusive knowledge to decrypt the hidden and mysterious prophecies. Unless their readers have independently studied end times passages, they would have no reason to doubt these books’ false claims. Still more authors elevate non-biblical sources to the same authority as God’s prophecies. They quote from modern political leaders, ancient traditions, or non-Christian “holy” writings.

What does this book teaches?

After spending years trying to find justification for what I had been taught, I decided to take a novel approach to biblical prophecies – read them as is and let the passages speak for themselves. Eventually, the clearest passages began to move to the forefront of my mind and their message echoed over and over again.

  1. God gave prophecy to His Church for her benefit – purification, preparation, and protection.
  2. God intends His Church to understand prophecy. Most prophetic passages are perfectly clear so that even the unsaved can understand the main themes.
  3. God never intends Christians to predict the future but prepare for the future.
  4. God will protect His people through the worst aspects of the future just as He has in the past. Some individuals may perish, but He will protect His elect until Jesus returns.

God has a plan which He must complete before Jesus returns. His plan resolves the conflicts and confusions of our generation, but requires our patience while He works and our endurance in the face of hardships. The theme of His plan isn’t escape or punishment, but hope for believers!

Why read this book?

Fall in love with the Scriptures. Contrary to popular myth, God clearly, passionately exposes the destiny of His people. While you won’t learn when Jesus will return or the details of your experience should He return within your lifetime, you won’t throw this book away in five years like other books whose predictions fail to occur.
